Overview

Padum is a remote but historic settlement known for its ancient rock carvings, monasteries like Karsha and Stongde, and as a hub for trekkers and nature lovers. Kargil and Leh are the primary entry points for reaching Padum, with travelers needing to acclimatize and carry essentials for the journey.

Srinagar ( Arrive )- Kargil(01 Night) - Padum(01 Night) – Rangdum(01 Night) – Kargil(01 Night) - Dha(Enroute) - Leh(01 Night) - Tsomoriri Lake(01 Night) - Leh(01 Night) - Leh Drop
Arrival at Srinagar airport (your own), to be greeted and received by our representative and leave for Kargil, enroute visiting Sonamarg & Zodjila pass, Drass Village (2nd Coldest Inhabitant place in the World) for War memorial hall & Museum, reach Kargil by evening. Overnight stay at Kargil.
Early Morning drive to Padum (Zanskar), on the way, visit to Karsekar village for visit to giant rock carved Buddha in 960 AD, later leave for Padum enroute have magnificent view of Nun Kun Peak and Dran Drung Glacier. O/N Padum.
Morning after Breakfast leave for local sightseeing of Karsha, Stongdey & Sani gompa and visit to Zangla fort. Post lunch leave for Rangdum. O/N Rangdum
After Breakfast leave back to Kargil by same route, reach Kargil by afternoon. O/N Kargil.
Morning after Breakfast leave for Leh, enroute Dha Village (Land of Ancient Aryans which still exist) O/N Leh.
Morning after breakfast drive to Tsomoriri Lake by passing Chumathang (Hot Spring) along the Indus River. Evening take a walk around the Lake to enjoy the scenic beauty. Overnight stay at Korzok.
Morning after breakfast leave to Leh passing Puga (Sulphur Mine), Tsokar Lake, Taklang La Pass 17,585ft, 2nd Highest motorable road in the world. Arrival at Leh by evening. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 08
Early morning transfer to the airport and fly back to your destination with Sweet Memories of Ladakh.

- Package cost is based on the base category of rooms. Any upgrade in room or hotel category will be chargeable to the guest.
- All sightseeing, ferry services and water activities are subject to weather and operational conditions.
- Complimentary services, if not utilized due to any reason, are non-refundable.
- BHARATVALLEYTOURS reserves the right to amend the itinerary due to operational reasons or unforeseen circumstances.
- Guests are required to share correct names as per government-approved ID documents at the time of booking confirmation.
- Any personal expenses, optional tours, meals not mentioned in inclusions and additional services are payable directly by the guest.
- BHARATVALLEYTOURS shall not be responsible for any delay, change or cancellation caused by airlines, hotels, transport providers, weather conditions or government regulations.
Things to Carry
- Clothing (Layering is Key):
- Thermals: 1-2 sets for cold nights (especially in Padum and Tsomoriri).
- Warm Jackets: One thick down/insulated jacket.
- Tops/Bottoms: Long-sleeved t-shirts, quick-dry pants/cargo pants (avoid jeans).
- Accessories: Woolen socks (at least 2 pairs), gloves, beanie/warm cap, muffler.
- Outerwear: Windproof/waterproof jacket or rain poncho.
- Footwear:
- Comfortable walking or hiking boots (broken in).
- Comfortable slippers/sandals for evenings.
- Health & Safety:
- Altitude Sickness Meds: Diamox (Acetazolamide) — consult a doctor first.
- First Aid Kit: Headache medicine (disprin/paracetamol), cold medicine, motion sickness medicine (essential for Zanskar roads), band-aids.
- Skincare: High SPF sunscreen (50+), lip balm, cold cream, moisturizer, sunglasses (UV protection).
- Electronics:
- Power bank (crucial as power is erratic in remote areas).
- Extra batteries and memory cards for the camera.
- Car charger.
- Documents & Cash:
- ID proofs (Aadhar/Passport) and photocopies.
- Inner Line Permits (ILP) for Tsomoriri/Zanskar.
- Cash: Carry enough cash from Leh/Kargil, as ATMs are rare in Padum and Tsomoriri.
